Since 1997, Hood-Pro, Inc. has been cleaning and repairing commercial kitchen exhaust hood systems. Hood-Pro, Inc. has built its business on integrity and customer satisfaction.

All Hood-Pro, Inc. employees are trained and certified as competent in accordance with the most current version of NFPA 96 by Hood Technology Institute.

Our Beginning in Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning:

In the spring of 1997Phil Evans and his son traveled toChicago IL for training by a large commercial kitchen cleaning company. He thought it would have good synergy with his floor coating company that specialized in slip resistant seamless floors for commercial kitchens. Hood-Pro was among the first group to be formally certified competent per NFPA-96. This certification was held inDayton Ohio and was given by the National Power Washers Association (NPWA). The test was developed by members of the NFPA 96 standards committee.

In 2005, after Phil trained several relatives how to operate a successful commercial kitchen exhaust business, Melinda spe

nt 5 months developing a formal program to train and certify hood cleaning technicians and those who wanted to own and operate a commercial kitchen cleaning business. This effort lead to the start of Hood-Tech Institute.

Hood-Tech Institute is owned by Phil and Melinda Evans. Hood-Tech is responsible for the training and certification of all Hood-Pro, Inc. employees, including office personnel. Hood-Tech now is offering to train and certify others in this recession proof business. Class size is limited.
